Beverly Ann Geer
December 18, 1938 — January 19, 2016
Beverly Ann Geer, 77, of Columbus, GA, was called home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, January 19, 2016.
Her home going celebration will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Wynnbrook Baptist Church with Rev. Craig Bowers and Rev. Kevin Calhoun officiating. A private family interment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends starting at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the church according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus.
Mrs. Geer was born December 18, 1938 in Washington, D.C. daughter of the late Annie Mae and Oscar Bean. She lived most of her life in Jacksonville, Fl. and was an active member of First Baptist Church and the choir. She then lived a few years in Valdosta, GA and was a member of Northside Baptist Church and taught the ladies Sunday school class. Her later years were spent in Columbus, GA where she was an active member of Wynnbrook Baptist Church and taught adult ladies Sunday School Class. Teaching was her passion and a special gift from God. She faithfully used that gift.
She leaves behind her husband of 57 years, Jim Geer of Columbus, GA, two daughters, Kelly Geer of Jacksonville, FL, Kimberly Scarbrough and her husband, Fred, two grandchildren, Allison Williams and Bradley Williams and his wife, Lisa, all of Columbus, GA.
