Betty Wyrick White, 78, of Columbus, GA died Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Midtown Medical Center, Columbus, GA.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Brad Parker officiating. A private interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, June 2, 2014 from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. White was born September 25, 1935 in Chattahoochee County, GA, daughter of the late Fred Wyrick and Mary Tyler Wyrick. She retired from Morgan Enterprises and was a member of Hunter Road Baptist Church.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Brown Williams, III and Carl White.
Survivors include her daughters, Sandy Ellingson (Mark) and Pam Getkin (Mike) all of Fortson, GA; son, Fred Williams (Teri) of Phenix City, AL; step-daughters, Marie Bennett (Lester) of Lawrenceville, GA and Rita Sue Golden of Columbus, GA; step-son, Carl Lee White (Susan) of Locust Grove, GA; sister,Diane Morgan (Calvin) of Buena Vista, GA; brothers, James Thomas "Tom" Wyrick (Diane) of Mauk, GA, Ronnie Wyrick (Lessie) of Columbus, GA, Jack Wyrick (Jane) of Ellerslie, GA, Bill Wyrick (Gail) of Mauk, GA and Hank Wyrick of Buena Vista, GA; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Hunter Road Baptist Church, 1803 Hunter Road, Cataula, GA 31804.
