Betty Patricia Bolan (Petty) Weldy (Allen) "Granny", 71, of Phenix City, AL slipped into Jesus's arms on Monday, December 5, 2016 at Parkwood Nursing Facility.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM EST Friday, December 9, 2016 at Pea River Cemetery in Clio, AL with Mr. Daniel Phillips and Rev. Watson McKemie officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

Betty was born August 14, 1945 in Ozark, AL to Alma and Huey Bolan. She was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and especially a grandmother. She was an Episcopalian by faith. She graduated from Jordan Vocational High School in 1963. Betty worked at Sherriann's Dancing School, Tire City, Doyal's Arts and Crafts, Communicorp and Chevron.

She loved her girls and grandchildren and great grandchildren and her family. She loved to sew and arts and crafts. She loved having coffee with her friends, Cherry, Shirley, Martha, Carmen and Aunt Jean. She enjoyed traveling to the beach to Panama City and St. George Island. She loved dancing and especially Elvis and his music. She loved the butterflies. She loved playing cards. She also loved studying about genealogy and studied about Egypt. She loved the movies, Gone with the Wind and Dr. Zhivago. She was also "Miss Parkwood Healthcare Facility" of 2012.

She is preceded in death by her father, Huey Bolan, her mother, Alma Bolan, her brother, Lawrence Phillips and her grandson, Colby Hooper.

Betty is survived by her daughters, Sandra Petty Rodriguez (Ruperto) of Phenix City, AL, Pamela Petty Barfield of Fortson, GA and Angela Petty Hooper of Fortson, GA, sister, Jean Wiggins (Ralph) of Columbus, GA, grandchildren, David Barfield (Danielle) of Columbus, GA, Daniel Phillips (Samantha) of Phenix City, AL, Patricia Barfield of Fortson, GA, Trenton Barfield (Caitlyn) of Fortson, GA, Katelynn Rammage (Kenneth) of Phenix City, AL and Austin Hooper of Fortson, GA, 6 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Easter Seals 2515 Double Churches Rd. Columbus, GA 31909.
