Betty June Bowen Watson, 84, of Midland, GA died Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Columbus Hospice House.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Parkhill Cemetery 4161 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Pastor Howard White officiating according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Watson was born July 19, 1931 in Donaldsonville, GA daughter of the late Watson and Evie Sheffield Bowen. She had lived in the Columbus, Midland area since 1941. She retired from Aflac and was a member of Pierce Chapel United Methodist Church.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bennett J. Watson.
Survivors include her son, Randy Watson, Sr. of Columbus, GA, grandson, Randy Watson, Jr. (Amy), great grandsons, Kyle and Kaleb all of Pine Mountain, GA, grandson, C.J. Watson (Jessica), great grandsons, Triston and Chandlor and great granddaughter, Remi Lea all of Cataula, GA, and my friend, Pedro.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Children's Miracle Network 707 Center St. Columbus, GA 31901 or St. Jude Children's Hospital 5901 Peachtree Dunwoody Rd. Atlanta, GA 30328.
