Betty M. Nichols, 89, of Columbus, GA passed away quietly on Monday, April 8, 2024.
A visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 pm Saturday, May 4, 2024 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907
Betty was born in Elmira, NY July 24th 1934 to the late Archibald Rymell and Elizabeth Rymell. She has also resided in Newfield, NY; Manassas, VA; San Jose, CA; Murrieta, CA and finally in Columbus, GA. She retired from AT&T after 29 years in 1991. A Betty was a "Betty Boop" fanatic and collector, she also loved Golf, Water Painting, Rug Crochet, Cruise Ship Trips and Bingo.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Nichols.
She leaves behind a sister, Clara Cannavino(Melbourne, FL); son, Michael and wife Laurel (Westchester, PA); daughter, Cindy Sprouse(Phenix City, AL); daughter, Penny Bowman (Columbus, GA); daughter, Theresa Nichols (Smiths Station, AL), many nephews, nieces and grandchildren.
