Betty Jean Morris, 72 of Columbus, Ga. died Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home.
A Memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, December 15, 2019 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends following the services at the funeral home.
Mrs. Morris was born January 16, 1947 in Columbus, GA; daughter of Gladys Powell Golden and the late Henry Etheridge Golden. She was a homemaker, loving mother, supportive grandmother and friend to many. She enjoyed fishing and listening to Gregg Allman and Elvis.
Other than her father, Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her husband Billy Irwin Morris, Sr., and two sisters: Peggy Hall and Linda Jarrett.
Survivors include her mother Gladys Powell Golden, children, Alicia Elizabeth Morris, Billy Irwin Morris Jr., Steve Wayne Morris. Grandchildren, Karlee Long, Ronnie Shepard and James Smallwood. Daughter-in-laws, Pam Payne and Peggy Blanton. Brothers, Jimmy Golden, Ronald Golden, and Donald Golden. She will truly be missed by so many more.
