Betty Davis Miles

Betty Davis Miles passed away March 27, 2020. She was 84 years old, and died at her home in Columbus, Georgia. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Richard Carlisle Miles. She graduated from Jordan High School and worked as an administrative assistant until she retired to take care of her grandchildren.
Betty and Richard attended Jordan High School, where they met in art class. Betty and a friend were approached by Richard and a friend, who ask the ladies would they teach them to dance. Betty told Richard "Yes" and the rest is history.
Some of her favorite pastimes were spending time with her family, reading and cooking. Christmas was her favorite time of year. She would decorate the tree with all of her unique and special ornaments she had collected over the years. She would also make her famous fruitcake for family and friends.
She is survived by her brother, Billy, and brother and sister in law, Mike and Judy Davis. Her daughter, Sharon K Miles, son and daughter in law, Russ and Linda Miles, daughter and son in law, Tracey and Clyde Scheel. She is also survived by the three loving grandchildren, Lyndsee and Chance Miles and Chad Wyrosdick.
