Betty Storey Mccullohs
November 16, 1927 — August 21, 2012
We passed our precious Mother, Betty Storey McCullohs, sweetly into the loving arms of Jesus on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, AL. She was 84 years old, a native of Columbus, GA, currently residing in Greenville SC, with her daughter, Beth.
A celebration of her life will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, August 25, 2012 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Kevin Calhoun officiating. Interment will follow at Waverly Hall Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, August 24, 2012 at McMullen Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00pm.
Betty was born November 16, 1927 to Ellis Moon Storey and Buelah Baker Baldwin Storey in Dothan, AL. She grew up in Waverly Hall, GA and married her childhood sweetheart, Click McCullohs and lived and raised their family in Columbus, GA.
Betty was a dedicated member of Hilton Terrace Baptist Church, Agape Sunday School Class, and later enjoyed the fellowship of Crossroad Baptist Church in Greenville, SC. She retired from The Medical Center where she was manager of the gift shop and served with the MC Auxillary with her husband, Click.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her son, Brent McCullohs and two sisters, Lydia Swint and Sara L. Morrissey.
She is survived by her son, Randy McCullohs (Leida), daughters, Beth Mixon Harris (Herb) and Melanie Wilks (Ronnie), two brothers, Ellis M. Storey, Jr. and Jack B. Storey, grandchildren are Lori Dervis, Todd Mixon, Bentley Mixon, Jeff Harris, Jodi (Harris) Fabrizio, Clay McCullohs, Stuart McCullohs, Rachel McCullohs, Jeffrey Wilks, Christopher Wilks, and Nicholas Thompson, great grandchildren are Maggie, Jenna and Carolina Dervis, Chandler Mixon, Bladen Mixon, Rachel and Josh Fabrizio, and several nieces and nephews.
She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed, but her memory will live in our hearts forever and ever.
