Betty Ann Kite, 74, of Columbus, GA died Friday, January 22, 2016.
A graveside service will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Parkhill Cemetery with Reverend Dean Knipe officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Kite was born May 21, 1941 in San Francisco, CA to the late Otto and Laureta Rice. She was a self-employed Insurance agent whom had a passion for her career. Mrs. Kite was a member of the American Business Women's Association and was involved with the Fort Benning Wives Club. She was also on the Board of Directors for the St. Patrick Catholic School.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, William Cecil Kite, and her daughter, Renee C. Kite.
Survivors include her son, William J. Kite (Pamela), grandchildren, Matthew Kite (Annie), Katie Kite Ivey (Brett), Samantha Knipe (Jeremy), and Lester Parkerson, great grandchildren, Sophia Kite, Rachel Knipe, and Riley Knipe, and sisters, Joan Reed, and Gayle Ellis (John).
The family will accept flowers and donations to be made out to St. Patrick Catholic School 2703 40th Street Phenix City, AL 36867.
