Betty Ann Garrett, 92, of Columbus, Georgia died peacefully on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Columbus Hospice House.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 12:00 PM Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Wynnton Methodist Church with Rev. Jason Wade officiating. A private interment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, September 13, 2024 from 5:00-6:30 PM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Garrett was born August 26, 1932, in Ft. Gaines, Georgia daughter of the late Robert A. and Irma Jones. Mrs. Garrett retired as an administrative assistant working with the Civil Service at Ft. Benning, Ga. She was a long-time member of Wynnton Methodist church serving as the pastor’s secretary, congregation care member and a choir member for over 65 years. Mrs. Garrett was also a member of the Valley Walk to Emmaus.
Survivors include her children; Rob Garrett (Gloria), Ward Garrett (Lisa) both of Columbus, Ga. and Tim Garrett of Atlanta, Ga., brother, John Robert (Bob) Jones of Columbus, Ga. 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
