Betty Jean Clark Cozart, 78, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Piedmont Midtown.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Evergreen Memory Pavillion according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian, Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. In keeping with the efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19 facemask and social distancing will be required during the services.
Betty was born November 24, 1942 in Little Rock, AR to the late James Clark and Lillian Clark. She worked as a social worker for many years in Alameda County, Oakland, CA. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Cozart, son's wayne, louis , Kendell and daughter Roslyn Torrence. Sisters Brenda, Gladys and brother Kenny Clark.
She is survived by her son, Jerome Torrence and wife Bonnie of Pine Mountain, GA ,daughter, Cheryl Torrence of CA, Brother Jamse Clark and wife Beatrice Clark, grandsons, Anthony Bonner, Edison Weaver, Louis Torrence, Michael Schlarman, grand-daughters, Stephanie Torrence, Melissa Franks, Breanna Schlarman, Stephanie Schlarman, Allison Davis, and Omar Torrence, nieces, nephews Mario Clark, Shakira Clark,shantae Clark and more.17 great grandkids and many more loved ones.
