Betty Joyce Collins Van Sickle, 90, passed away Saturday November 30, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, December 6, 2024 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. A visitation will follow the service and the interment will be held at a later date at Ft. Moore Main Post Cemetery.
Betty was born November 11, 1934, in Geneva County, AL to the late Chalmus M. Collins and Pauline Merritt Collins. She retired as the Head Librarian at Ft. Benning Library after many years of service.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Captain Joseph Hannson Van Sickle who passed in 2009.
Survivors include her brother, H. Jerome Collins (Connie) of Woodstock, GA, nephews, Jared Collins, Jeffrey Collins, Joseph Collins and Jonathan Collins (Ria), great nephew, Cassian Collins and cousin, Jay Wilson (Stacy), of Columbus, GA.
