Betty Violet Barron, 86, of Columbus GA died Thursday, June 17, 2021 at her residence.
Mrs. Barron was born March 21, 1935 in Roundoak, GA to the late John Jackson and Susie Jackson. She grew up in Cuthbert, GA. She was a housewife and traveled a lot with her husband who was in the Air Force and Army. They moved to Columbus, GA 50 years ago to raise their family. She loved gardening and playing the lottery. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband William Barron.
She is survived by Joni Cummings (Ricky), grandchildren Emily Cummings, Corey Cummings (Kendall), and Kyle Cummings and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, June 19, 2021 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends 1:00-2:00 PM Saturday, June 19, 2021 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
