Bettie Ann Green, 66, of Pine Mountain, GA, died Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Piedmont Regional Medical Center.
Viewing will be held Friday, October 19, 2018, 5-7 P.M., at Mc Mullen's Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd, Columbus, GA 31907.
Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 20, 2018, 2 P.M., at St. John's C.M.E., 172 Davis Lake Road, Pine Mountain, GA 31822.
Bettie Green (nee Willis) was born June 10, 1952, in Bessemer, AL, to the late Francis and Watson Willis.
Bettie was a wonderful woman that was loved, is missed, and will always be cherished by those who called her Mom, Grandma, Sister, Aunt, and Friend.
She was a devoted member of St. John's C.M.E. Church in Pine Mountain. Bettie was an active member in the church until her health began to fail. She served as the Head Usher, Hospitality Coordination, and a member on many of the committees. Bettie respected and loved to work with her pastor at the time, Reverend Jesse Averett.
Bettie worked for Calloway Gardens in Pine Mountain. She began her career in housekeeping and worked her way up in the ranks retiring in 2008 as the Executive Steward.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Marybeth Willis (nee Bukowski), grandchildren, Zoe Willis, Tommy Willis Jr., all of Pine Mountain, and April Gates, great grandchildren, Carlo Luke, Carmelo Willis, and Zayden Willis, sisters, Barbara Willis (John Henry), Annette Davison (Leon) and brother, Watson Willis, Jr. Bettie leaves behind Mildred Gates who she considered her daughter, nieces, Samantha Brooks, Tracey Willis, Latanya LaGrand, Bernitha Davison, nephews, Derrick Willis and Chris Satterwhite. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Preceded in death by her son, Tommy Lee Willis, Sr., husband, Alfred Charles Green, brothers, Lonnie Willis, Larry Willis, and Curtis Willis, sisters, Mary Jefferies, Josephine Clark, and Mary Ward, and dear niece Felicia Willis-Miller.
