Bethel Eden Cowart

Bethel Eden Cowart, of Columbus, GA, died unexpectedly in her sleep on Thursday, September 1, 2022. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Christ Community Church 4078 Milgen Rd, Columbus, GA 31907 on Tuesday, September 6, at 10:00am. The family will receive friends in the sanctuary beginning at 9:30am. According to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

Bethel was 16 months old and leaves behind her parents, Aaron and Hannah Mae Cowart; brother, Asaph, and a foster sister; grandparents, Keith and Pam Cowart and Tony and Karen Kight; great-grandparents, Chuck and Kay Cowart, Ken and Kathy Carpenter, Jan and Louis Kight; Uncles Andrew Cowart, Samuel Kight, Kale and Emily Kight; and a host of great aunts & uncles and cousins who adored her. Everyone who knew Bethel was blessed by her abundant joy.

Of her life her father writes, “The purpose of Bethel’s life was to show God’s unbelievable beauty. She spent every day of her life cherished and loved. As parents, all we can ask for is that our children will know that they are loved and come to know Jesus as their savior. Our baby girl knew she was loved every moment of her life, and she is resting in the arms of Jesus. What more could we ask for? She is more alive now than she ever was on Earth. She is running, dancing, and singing her heart out. We will miss every moment on this Earth we are not with her, but our hope lies in something so much deeper than this tragedy. Our hope lies in the truth that Christ came to Earth, died for our sins, and has given us new life. We do not regret a single moment we had with her, and this pain is well worth the opportunity to have known such a precious soul. We ache for the return of our Jesus to make all things new.
