Bessie Maude Hill Wilson, 87, of Smiths Station, AL died Monday, June 30, 2014 at Phenix City Healthcare.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 5, 2014 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. David Howle and Rev. Jim Hilderbrand officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. A Graveside Service for the family will be held on Monday, July 7, 2014 at Riverdale Cemetery in Columbus, Georgia.
Mrs. Wilson was born July 1, 1926 in Dunedin, FL, daughter of the late James Otto Hill and Bessie Bragg Hill. She was a retired Elementary School Teacher for the Muscogee County School District.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Ray Wilson; son, Lamar Wilson; and sister, Muriel Fletcher.
Survivors include her sons: James Wilson (Nan) of Columbus, GA and Irvin Wilson (Judy) of Midlothian, TX; daughter: Connie Dickerson (Mike) of Smiths, AL; grandchildren: Samuel Wilson (Kinsey), Sarah Koester (Josh), Jonathan Wilson (Melia), Joseph Wilson, Kathy Smith (Pam), Ray Wilson (Jennifer); great-grandchildren: Brianna Wilson, Jonah Koester, Mariah Koester, Josiah Koester, Aspen Wilson, Harley Wilson, Jericho Wilson, Parker Wilson, Elizabeth Barker, Becca Barker, Kaden Smith, Nicole Smith, Jace Smith, Cody Wilson, Kaylie Bessie Wilson, and Sammy Wilson.
