Bernice B. Seegar 83, of Columbus, Georgia died Friday, August 07, 2020 at Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown Campus.
A private interment will be held Tuesday, August 11, 2020 in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery.
Mrs. Seegar was born October 28, 1936 in Cuthbert, Georgia daughter of the late Claude Douglas and Johnnie Jackson Merritt. She was a homemaker and member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness for the past 38 years. Mrs. Seegar was a country girl growing up in Cuthbert and had the privilege of traveling the world with her husband while he was in the military. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband George Donald Seegar.
Survivors include her children, Sylvia Worthington (Greg) of Hamilton, GA, Sheila Downs (Robert) of Phenix City, AL, John Seegar (Lisa) of Columbus, GA, Julie Seegar of Columbus, GA; grandchildren, Kenneth Kelley (Amy) of Fortson, GA, Kimberly Worthington of Hamilton, GA, Jake Beach (Tiffany) of Clayton, NC, David Beach of Clayton, NC, Hendon Seegar of Columbus, GA, Graham Seegar of Columbus, GA; great-grandchildren, Mickayla Smith, Amelia Kelley, Ashton Kelley, Bella Kelley, Kayden Kelley, Beauden Kelley, Ryker Beach, Rowyan Beach and nephews; Donnie and Sandra Paulk and Earnest and Shirley Paulk.
