Bennie Lovering, 93, of Columbus died Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Muscogee Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center..
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday April 28, 2014 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Willie Martin and Mr. Tony Mitchell officiating. A private interment will be held in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 10-11 AM Monday at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Bennie was born July 14, 1920 in Colquitt, GA the son of the late Lemuel Dee Lovering and Ella Rodgers Lovering. He retired as a machine operator with Kinnett Dairies and was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Columbus.
Survivors include his wife of 72 years Kate Bush Lovering of Columbus, daughter, Peggy Lovering Thompson (Tommy) of Tallassee, AL, son, Billy "Wayne" Lovering (Brenda) of Columbus, GA, sister, Hortense Moore of Colquitt, GA, brother, Ray Lovering of Bay Town, TX, grandchildren, Teresa Sasser, Jennifer Allen, Dewayne Deal, Todd Thompson, great grandchildren Taylor Sasser, Jake Sasser, Brittany Allen, Troy Allen, Kailey Wardlow, Ivan Wardlow and several nieces and nephews.
