He was born February 25, 1972, in Columbus, Georgia to the late Verna and Ferrin Eiland. Ben had a deep passion for exploring new places, camping with his family, and enjoying meals at his favorite restaurants, especially during trips to the beach. An environmentalist at heart, he was committed to recycling and made sure those around him shared his dedication to the planet.
He was also a man of simple pleasures, finding joy in shopping trips to Sam’s Club and Aldi and starting each morning with coffee and camaraderie at the local Burger King with his friends.
Ben’s final wish was to have his ashes scattered in the Redwood National Park and the Pacific Ocean, two places he held dear. His family will honor this request, ensuring he rests in the natural beauty he so deeply loved.
Ben’s warmth, humor, and unwavering love for his family will be greatly missed but forever cherished in the hearts of all who knew him.
Ben is survived by his devoted wife, Felecia Eiland, and his brothers, Mark (Connie) and Sonny. He is also lovingly remembered by his stepdaughters, Allison Hamilton and Tara Williams, and his cherished grandchildren: Jamie Brown (Brian), Emma Hamilton, Payton Hamilton, Preston Williams, and Baylee Williams. His joy in life was his family, and he eagerly anticipated the arrival of his first great-grandchild.
