Mrs. Riddick was born in Columbus, Georgia to the late Walter and Jessie McIntyre. Belvery was a proud graduate of Jordan Vocational high school class of 1956. After high school, Belvery began working as an office and administrative clerk for one of the local mills. It was during this time that she met the love of her life, and future husband of over 67 years, Linwood Riddick. She was a dedicated Army wife, and mother, and they were both members of the Northside Baptist Church. Belvery was an avid Atlanta braves and Georgia football fan, and could often be found working on a crossword puzzle, but most of all she cherished moments spent with family; especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Belvery  was preceded in death by her husband Linwood.

She is survived by her son, Russell Riddick (Laura) of Harris County, two daughters, Cindy Steed (Bart) of Columbus, and Terri Morris of Columbus, GA, six grandchildren, Christopher Riddick (Paige), Bradley Riddick, Stephanie Steed, Patrick Steed (Sarah), Clay Morris and Joshua Morris (Courtney), nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
