Barry S. McMillan of Midland, GA died Sunday May 17,2020 at Piedmont Regional Hospital after an extended illness with cancer.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday May 23, 2020 at Greater Life Baptist Church at 305 Old Grey Rock Road Midland, Georgia 31820. The family will receive visitors starting at 1:00 PM and the service will follow at 2:00 PM. Pastor Jonathan McNeese will officiate.
Mr. McMillan was born July 28th, 1960 in Columbus, GA to the late Robert L. McMillan and Betty Ruth McGuffey McMillan. Mr. McMillan was a carpenter by trade.Mr. McMillan is Baptist by faith and a member of Greater Life Baptist Church. He was a lifelong Georgia Bulldog fan. He enjoyed Nascar, woodworking, camping and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Myra McMillan of Midland, Georgia, three sons, Cody McMillan of Asheville NC, Brandon Bailey of Midland, GA, and Elijah McMillan of FL, one daughter Allison Harbin (Matthew) of Dahlonega, GA, four brothers, Robert L. McMillan Jr. (Judy) of Columbus, GA, Terrell McMillan of Lanett, Alabama, Tracy McMillan of Columbus, GA, Jonathan McMillan of Daytona Beach, FL, five sisters, Barbara "Susie" McMillan of Columbus, GA, Melinda Johnson (Greg) of Jacksonville, FL, Donna Fullerton of Columbus, GA, Tina Trant (Jeff) of Ladonia, AL, Beverly "Sis" Stapleton of Hamilton, GA, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and many friends.
Other than his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers Freddie McMillan and Jeff "Sam" McMillan, sister Sybil Schaff, and one very special brother in law Thomas Hindman.
Mr. McMillan will be remembered for his love and devotion to his wife and family, his willingness to help others, and his love for his friends. His sense of humor could light up a room and fill it with laughter. He will be missed by so many but is rejoicing in heaven.
