Barbara (Fussell) Waldee 85 of Ellerslie, Ga died Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Columbus Hospice House.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 11:00 Saturday, February 03, 2018 at North Highland Assembly of God Church with Rev. Dennis Lacy officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, Ga.
Barbara was born in 1932 in Osage, Minnesota daughter of the late Robert Charles and Ruby Adelia Nilson Lymburner. She graduated high school in Bethesda, Maryland. She graduated college from Central Bible Institute in Springfield, Missouri in 1953 before marrying Charles Fussell and embarking on a lifetime of ministry.
Until his death in 1986, they served as pastors to various churches in Indiana, Maryland, and Florida. Then she served in Brussels, Belgium as a missionary for 5 years in the Assemblies of God. To support their ministry, she had worked as a teacher in Allegheny County, MD and later in management for Carl E Johnson Civil Engineering of Fort Myers, FL. She resided in Ellerslie, GA since 2011, joining her family after living in Ft Myers, FL for many years. Her recent years were spent as a volunteer at St. Francis Auxiliary.
Other than her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husbands: Charles Fussell and Clifford Waldee and her brother Robert Lymburner.
She is survived by two brothers: Francis Lymburner of Dayton, Ohio and Charles Lymburner of Buffalo, New York. Her children are Candace Williams and Mark of Ellerslie, GA, Dr. Glenn Fussell, MD and Jo-Ann of Columbus, GA and John "Jack" Fussell and Sherri of Louisville, Ky. She has five grandchildren: Robert 'Bobby" Fussell, Aimee Moody, Charles Williams, Edward Fussell, Max Williams, and one great grandchild, Blaine Moody.
