Barbara Greene McKoon, 81, of Columbus, GA died October 5, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital.
Graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, October 9, 2020 at Riverdale Cemetery in Columbus, GA. The family will receive friends Thursday, October 8, 2020 at the residence. In keeping with the efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19 face coverings and social distancing will be required during the graveside service.
Barbara was born July 18, 1939 in Detroit MI to the late Dale Sidney Greene and Mary Kathrine Trigg Greene. She was a beloved wife and a lifelong homemaker. She has lived in Columbus, GA since she was 12 years old. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert McKoon and sister, Kathy Cason.
She is survived by four children, Carolyn L. Harrelson (Ben) of Phenix City, AL, Mary Lisa L. Crow (Greg) of Ellerslie, GA, Kelly L. Dover (Jeff) of Canton, GA, Clifford L. Lipford, III “Buddy” (Teresa) of Apopka, FL., 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and her beloved dog Zoey.
She was devoted to her family and loved to go shopping!! Our mom was the strongest woman we knew, she wasn’t afraid of anything. She may have been little, but fierce.
