Barbara Ann Mayberry Martin

Barbara Ann Mayberry Martin, 80, of Phenix City, Alabama went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 4, 2018.
A celebration of Barbara's life will be held 2:00PM Sunday, December 9, 2018 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd, Columbus, GA 31907. She will be laid to rest at 10:00AM Monday December 10, 2018 at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA 31907. Friends and family are encouraged to attend.
Born in Beauregard, AL in 1938, she was united in marriage to Harrison Lafayette Martin III on February 6, 1955 at Providence Baptist Church in Opelika, AL. She lovingly bore and reared 4 children in Columbus, GA before moving to Phenix City, AL where she spent her remaining years.
Barbara Ann was devoted to her family and found great pleasure in spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed yardsaling, cooking, crocheting, gardening and fishing. She never met a stranger and the family feels blessed to have been gifted this spirited, warm hearted, fun loving Christian woman. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Barbara was predeceased by her parents, George and Erma Mayberry and her devoted husband, Harry Martin.
Loved ones that will miss her until they meet again are her beloved children, Sonny (Tina) Martin, Debra (Bill) Hendrix, Christina (Pete) Hollis and Tony (Sherry) Martin. Also left to mourn her are adoring grandbabies, (as she called them) Tiffani (David) Salembier, Amber Martin, Mallori Martin, William Hendrix, Kirstie Hale, Ashleigh (Lonnie) Martin, Keely Martin and Andrea Hollis along with her cherished great grandchildren, Justin Owens, Raven Hendrix, Isabella Beekman, Jacob Owens and Athena Wilson. In addition, she will be sorely missed by her siblings, Mavis (Gene) Stevenson, Margaret (Clay) Hughley, Betty Jean (Wayne) Sherwood, Ruby Louise (Jim) Cunningham, Janice Ramsey, Ben (Leila) Mayberry and Jerry (Marcia) Mayberry. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
