Barbara Ann Brown

Barbara Ann Brown, 83, of Columbus, GA passed away Saturday, December 28, 2024 at her home.

Celebration of Life will be held on 11:00 AM, Friday, January 3, 2025 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Boulevard, Columbus, GA 31907. A private internment will be held at a later date.

Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt. She was born in Brooklyn, New York on December 28, 1941 to the late August (Gus) and Grace Johns. She was married to her late husband, CWO3 (Ret.) Armor J. Brown, for 27 years. She spent many years teaching French and retired from Walmart after working in the accounting department for 19 years. She loved tutoring her students at the BTG Learning Center. She was an avid and talented cross stitcher, winning many ribbons over the years. Ms. Brown leaves behind a family who loved and cherished her dearly.

She is survived by her daughter, Elena Wright of Birmingham, AL, Son, Christopher Turchiano (DeAna) of Senoia, GA, Step-children, Armor Brown (Janet), Robert Brown (Karen), Mark Brown, and Sonya Frye, grandchildren, Amanda Standridge (Brad), Kaley Hicks (Bill), Laura Turchiano, and Evan Dobbs, great-grandchildren, Avah-Grace, Maddie, Noah and Greenley, sister, Susan Sagarin and beloved pup, Mickey.
