Aussie Mae Collier, 76, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held 3:00PM Monday, January 17, 2022 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Jack Wallace officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00 PM Sunday, January 16, 2022 at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. Interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery following the service.
Aussie was born August 11, 1945 in Columbus, GA to the late Austin Judge Parmer and Dovie Mae Turner Parmer. She was an Insurance Biller for Houston Hospital. She was a member of Altman Baptist Church, and attended the Senior’s Sunday School Class. She loved to cruise and was called the “Queen of cruise”, she cruised 46 times in her life and she absolutely loved to travel. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her daughter Kandy Simonton, three brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by her husband of 37 ½ years, Steven A. Collier & Fur baby Cooper of Columbus, GA, son, Rodney Avant of Columbus, GA, daughter, Jennifer Rhodes (Wesley) of Ramsey, II, grandchildren, Jordan Koehler, Hannah Gish (Jacob), Gage, great-grandchild, Cazlyn., nephews, Roy & Trish Collier and many other family members.
