Arthur P. Moseley, 86, of Columbus, GA died Saturday, July 9, 2011 at his residence.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Wayne Holloway and Mr. Mark Dixon officiating. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 12, 2011 from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA.
Mr. Moseley was born February 7, 1925 in Hartford, AL son of the late William F. Moseley and Davis Helms Moseley. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II in the South Pacific and received the following medals, APTO Medal, Philippine Liberation Rib with One Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal, Bronze Arrowhead, and World War II Victory Medal. Mr. Moseley was self employed for 50 years as an auto repairman at Moseley Auto Repair. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Albert Moseley, and his sisters, Willa Raye Dixon and Louise Williamson.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Lexie K. Moseley of Columbus, GA; sons, Robert P. Moseley, William Franklin Moseley, Tommy Jackson Moseley (Linda), Arthur Richard Moseley all of Columbus, GA and Gary Kenneth Moseley of Newnan, GA; daughter, Sheila Faye Moseley of Columbus, GA; sisters, Mattie Ruth Byrd of Dothan, AL, and Jeanette Dixon of Columbus, GA; nine grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
