Arthur "Lomax" Jones, 72, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, January 23, 2016 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory. A private interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Jones was born September 1, 1943 in Geneva, AL son of the late Robert Earl Jones and Ollie Mae McCall Jones. He was a graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and retired from Buffalo Rock. He was a "Dye" hard Auburn fan and loved to have a fishing rod in his hand. He was a member of Wynnton United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his loving wife, Linda S. Dubose Jones of Columbus, GA, daughter, Christy Blackburn (William), granddaughter, Amber Wemmer (Christian), brothers-in-law, Norman Dubose (Gayle) of Pensacola, FL and Emmett F. Johnson (Sue) of Lake Martin, AL, and several nieces and nephews.
