Arthur L. Hartman, 81, of Columbus, GA died Monday, April 11, 2011 at Vista Care at Franciscan Woods.
Graveside services with full military honors will be held 1 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2011 at Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Hartman was born August 16, 1929 in Mountain Top, PA son of the late Phillip and Aberta Smith Hartman. He retired as Sergeant First Class with the U.S. Army and later worked in Maintenance for the City of Columbus Housing Authority.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothea Fechner Hartman.
Survivors include his son, Arthur Max Hartman (Debra) of Columbus, GA, daughter, Dorothea Ford (Frank) of Columbus, OH, sister, Heriett Weyhenmeyer of Mountain Top, PA, four grandchildren, Michael Hartman (Thecia) of Columbus, GA, Sarah Hartman of Columbus, GA, Clint Ford of Montana and Althea Reynolds of Columbus, OH, and nine great grandchildren.
