Arthur R. Davisson, Jr., 60, of Columbus, GA, died Thursday, November 13, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital.
Memorial Services will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, November 16, 2014 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Davisson was born September 10, 1954 in Ft. Benning, GA, son of the late Ret. SGM Arthur R. Davisson, Sr. and Dorothy Davis Davisson. He was a Sergeant in the United States Air Force. Prior to his military career, he worked for Papa Johns, drove a school bus, and was a driver for Vulcan Materials.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Marsha Davisson of Columbus, GA; daughters, Angela Clarke (Tim), Ada, OK and Pamela Davisson of Columbus, GA; son, Arthur "Rudy" Davisson, III (Ashley) of Lawrenceville, GA; sisters, Deanne Voznick of Tallahassee, FL, Denise Swank (Larry), DeLynn Heath; brothers, Rowan Webb and Shelton Davisson all of Columbus, GA; 6 grandchildren, Taylor and Daemond Clarke of Ada, OK, Makayla Worrell, Drayson Haas, Shayleigh Davisson, and Tristen Davisson all of Lawrenceville, GA.
Flowers will be accepted but those so desiring may make memorial contributions to First Church of God, 6301 Gateway Road Columbus, GA 31909.
