Archie William Oliver, 80, of Pine Mountain, GA died Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Columbus Piedmont Midtown hospital.
A chapel service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 9, 2021 with visitation immediately following at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA 31907. In keeping with the efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19, face coverings and social distancing will be required. There will be a private burial for the family at a later time.
Archie was born June 2, 1940 in Hamilton, GA to the late Arrie F. Oliver and Sarah F. Oliver. Survivors include his sisters, Grace J. Ware of Columbus, GA and Jewel Grantham (Bill) of Pine Mountain Valley, GA, brothers, Jesse Oliver of Pine Mountain, GA, Johnny Oliver (Sybil) of Kingston, GA, Joe Oliver of Ojo Feliz, NM, nephews, Mike Rouanzion (Soraya) of Knoxville, TN, Chuck Ware (Cindy) of Columbus, GA, Lin Stinson (Tanya) of Chattanooga, TN, and nieces, Jenny Ware Nelson of Pine Mountain, GA and Cathy Ware Ross (Ricky) of Eatonton, GA.
Other than his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Rachel Whitby of Knoxville, TN.
