Annie Dorothy Powell Blackmon

Annie Dorothy Powell Blackmon, 93, of Columbus, GA died peacefully at home with her family on Sunday, September 24, 2017 after a lengthy illness.
A private burial will be held at Parkhill Cemetery 4161 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA 31907 according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Blackmon was born October 25, 1923 in Troy, AL daughter of the late Watson and Annie Jones Powell. She worked for 28 years in the Cafeteria at Jordan Vocational High School and was a member of Rosehill Baptist Church.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Louie Blackmon.
Survivors include her daughter, Dorothea Blackmon Ledford (Ronnie) and grandson, Michael Luke Ledford all of Columbus, GA.
