Annette L. Wilkerson

Annette L. Wilkerson passed peacefully in her home in Ellerslie, GA on Sunday December 21, 2014. She is survived by her spouse of 57 years Earnest Wilkerson and 4 children: Carlton (Jane) Wilkerson, Keith (Sharon) Wilkerson, Kevin (Bobbie) Wilkerson, and Connie (Bert) Toney and beloved God Son John (Patty) Shelton. She had 12 grandchildren: Annette Bailey, Alicia, Chialastri, Kyle Wilkerson, Kasey Wilkerson, Connar Wilkerson, Cole Wilkerson, Jason Casciaro, Amy Casciaro, Tommy Casciaro, Cunningham Toney, Caleb Toney, and Cade Toney. She had 9 great grandchildren. She retired from the Civil Service after 33 years of service as a secretary in Officer Records at Fort Benning Army Base. She started working for the Civil Service right after high school and this was the only job she ever had until her retirement in 1988. She then became a devoted full time mother to her children and grandchildren and caregiver to her mother, Mamie Lee. She and her husband attend River of Life Church of God in Hamilton, GA. She loved to spend time with her family and friends and always made sure that our family vacations and gatherings were fun and filled with great memories. Her visitation will be at McMullen Funeral Home in Columbus, GA on Tuesday December 23, 2014 from 6-8 pm and she will have a chapel service at McMullen Chapel at 12 noon on December 24, 2014 followed by burial at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery.
