Anne Phillips, 81 of Columbus died Saturday, September 24, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital.
The family will receive friends and family Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. at McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA. The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
Mrs. Phillips was born April 14, 1930 in Lakemont, GA she was the daughter of the late Lillie Viola Cannon Jones and Henry Franklin Jones. She retired from H. L. Green as a sales clerk. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church where she was the secretary/treasurer. She also had a love of flower gardening and traveling.
Survivors include her sons, Melvin Phillips of Columbus, GA and Tony Jones (Beverly) of Columbus, GA; daughter, Carol Love (Terry) of Pine Mountain Valley, GA; sister, Bessie LaPine of North Adams, MA; brother, Tom Jones (Alice) of Warm Springs, GA; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
