Anne L. Christensen, 68, of Columbus, GA, a former lifelong resident of Wisconsin died Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Gentiva Hospice.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, October 1, 2016 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Pastor Judy Hay officiating. A private interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Ms. Christensen was born December 5, 1947 in Madison, WI daughter of the late Oliver D. and Evelyn Ringhand Christensen. She was also preceded in death by her sister in law Bevaley A. Christensen of Columbus, GA. She worked as a teacher for 10 years at a Native American School near Superior Wisconsin and more than 20 years in the Boscobel, Wisconsin School District teaching learning disabilities and handicapped students. She loved teaching, fishing, and traveling, boating, hunting and was an avid outdoors person. Her many travels included Europe, Canada, Mexico and anywhere in the Great United States that rang her bell!
Survivors include her brother, David Christensen of Columbus, GA, nieces and nephews, JoLynn Austin (Charles) of Groveport, OH, Trevor McLendon of Columbus, GA, Kelly McIlwaine (David) of Pataskala, OH, Brittany Wooten (Todd) of Grove City, OH, Todd Beaudry (Lisa) of Pataskala, OH, Scott Beaudry (Jeanie) of Milwaukee, WI and Zachary and his son, Thomas Kirk both of Columbus, OH, special friends, Paul Milbrant of Delavan, WI, and Nancy Phillips of Groveport, OH, and many cousins and close friends.
