Anna H. Wilson, known affectionately as Anna by her friends and family, Mimi by her grandsons, passed away peacefully at the age of 81 on February 6, 2024, at home, surrounded by family and friends.

A graveside service will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, February 9, 2024 at Parkhill Cemetery, according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

Anna was born on August 1, 1942, in Wilmington, North Carolina, she led a life marked by compassion, determination, and a boundless love for her family, especially, her daughter and grandchildren.

Anna's commitment to supporting others was evident through her distinguished 30-year career as an Off-Post Housing Manager at Fort Benning, where she was renowned for her unwavering support and care for military families. She met every challenge with determination, earning the admiration and respect of all who worked alongside her.

Anna's interests included tending to her flower garden, dancing, vacationing at the beach, caring for her pets and the joy of gift-giving. Her generous, spirited, and loving nature will be sorely missed, but her legacy of kindness and care will continue to thrive in the hearts of those she touched. Anna Wilson's life was a testament to the beauty that can flourish when one dedicates themselves to the service of others and the nurturing of family bonds.

Her life’s joys were many, but nothing compared to the love she had for her family. She leaves behind her sister Becky (Jeff) Hullett-Lowery, her niece Nancy (Mitch) Woods, grand-nephew Zach Woods, and grand-nieces Elizabeth (Alex) Woods and Amber Stonecipher. Anna was a loving figure to her daughter Wendy, her son-in-law Shane, and her cherished grandsons Donovan and Harrison. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert H. Wilson; her sister Charlotte (Willard “Bill”) Blalock; her niece Zenade Kathleen Blalock; and her parents Wallace and Zenade Hullett, as well as her bonus mother Estee Hullett.
