Anna M. Welborn, 76, of Columbus, GA died Sunday, October 14, 2012 at The Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, October 18, 2012 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Father Brian LaBurt officiating. A private interment will be held at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Welborn was born October 8, 1936 in Straubing, Germany daughter of the late Josef and Maria Magdalena Buchenberg Arnold. She was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She was a champion unicycle rider. She loved everyone and never met a stranger, and was a devoted and wonderful mother.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her children, Joe T. Welborn.
Survivors include her husband, David Welborn of Columbus, GA, son, Mike Welborn (Tilly) of Atlanta, GA, two daughters, Jo Ann Totzauer (John) of Fayetteville, N.C. and Charlene Eason (Keith) of Columbus, GA, twelve grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church 1953 Torch Hill Rd. Columbus, GA 31903.
