Anna Chambers Leroy Brookins

Anna Chambers LeRoy Brookins, 79, of Columbus, GA died Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at her residence at Franciscan Woods.
Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Riverdale Cemetery with Dr. Kevin Calhoun officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus.
Mrs. Brookins was born March 3, 1933 in Columbus, GA daughter of the late Canty Pitts (C.P.) Chambers, Sr. and Blanche Warren Chambers. She was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church and the Fellowship Sunday School Class and later attended with her late husband, R. J. Brookins, Hilton Terrace Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Randolph J. Brookins, preceded Mrs. Brookins in death along with her brothers, Warren John Chambers and C.P. (Zip) Chambers, Jr.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra LeRoy Taber and husband Allen Taber of Columbus, GA, Jennifer Marie LeRoy of Roswell, GA, one son, John Kevin LeRoy and wife Sandy LeRoy of Columbus, GA, four grandchildren, Bo Taber (Liz), Clay Taber (Laura), Rachel LeRoy and Abigail LeRoy, one great grandson, Jack Taber, sister-in-law, Jackie Chambers, stepchildren, Sam (Billy) Owens, Mike (Paula) Brookins and their children and grandchildren.
The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to Vista Care Hospice and her daily caregivers, Donna Trotter Diltz, Tara Youson, Gloria Smith, and Beulah Myrick.
