Alvin Jefferson Walton, 76, of Columbus, GA passed away June 26, 2021 at his residence.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM July 1, 2021 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at 3:00 PM at Oak Lawn Cemetery, 720 S Camellia Blvd, Fort Valley, GA 31030.
Alvin was born, November 20, 1944 in Grovania, GA to the late Alfred Isiah Walton and Norma Hancock Walton. Alvin loved his music, dancing, playing pool, and fishing. He was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan, Atlanta Braves Fan, Atlanta Falcons fan, and NASCAR fan. He loved his family and always had a smile on his face.
Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Wilbur Walton and Charles Walton.
Survivors include his wife, Vivian Walton, four children, Ricky Blackston, Darlene Blackston Casteel (Jimmy), Sheila Walton Glisson (Derek), Kelly Walton Collier (Adam Osborne); grandchildren, Jamie Casteel (Brooke), Amber Casteel Carmen (Joseph), Ashley Casteel Hartley (Anthony), Jennifer Lang, Heather Lang Smith (Jonathan), Jeffery Blackston, Shelby Blackson, Joseph Collier, Michael Collier; brothers, Fred Walton (Tricia), Wendell Walton (Pat), and Robert Walton; 11 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
