Allan H. Mcglaun Jr.

Allan Hayes McGlaun Jr, 76, of Ellerslie, GA passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital.

Allan was born September 26, 1944 to the late Allan Hayes McGlaun, Sr. and Miriam Hope McGlaun. Allan was a graduate of Jordan High School. He was married to his soul mate Rita for forty five years. Mr. McGlaun was a LSM operator for the United States Postal Service, where he retired after 33 years and also served in the US Army. He loved Alabama Football, camping, joking around, giving people nicknames and spending time with his family. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Brian Lee McGlaun and his beloved dog Sugar.

Survivors include his wife Rita Kay Gilley of Ellerslie, GA, three children, Stormy Schipansky, James “Andy” McGlaun (Debbie) and Aaron McGlaun; one brother, Tommy McGlaun;  grandchildren, Justin, Meghan and Ryan;  great-grandchildren, Blake, Aiden and Elaina; sister-in-law, Cookie McGlaun, and numerous nieces and nephews and other family members.

Arrangements are entrusted to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory.
