Alice Patricia H. Kinard, 72, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday April 17, 2013 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, April 22, 2013 at Edgewood Presbyterian Church 3617 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Reverend Barry Ferguson and Reverend Paul Coates officiating. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Kinard was born April 1, 1941 in Atlanta, GA to the late W. Dewey Henderson and Alice Aldora (Drake) Henderson. She attended College Park High School, graduating in May of 1959. She completed her studies in June of 1982 from Columbus State University, and retired from there as the Director of Testing through the Department of Continuing Education in February 2002. She was a member of Edgewood Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and eight brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her husband of over 53 years, Walter Donald "Don" Kinard, Sr. of Columbus, GA, daughter Kristin Kinard Jain (Ash) of Columbus, GA, son, Walter D. "Donnie" Kinard, Jr. of Johnson City, TN, two grandsons, Jonathan Kinard and Benjamin Kinard both of Salt Lake City, UT, one sister, Juanita Butler of Jefferson, GA, and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Edgewood Presbyterian Church 3617 Macon, Road 31907.
