Alfred G. Boyd, 94, of Waverly Hall, GA died Monday, October 24, 2022 at Piedmont Midtown.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, October 27, 2022 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. David Helms officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. Interment will be held at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery following the service.
Alfred was bon January 30, 1928 in Cambridge, OH to the late Charles L. Boyd and Hazel Hinds Boyd. He worked as an Electrician for various companies and served in the United States Army as a Private First Class. He was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Barton Boyd and daughter, Karen Hershman.
He is survived by his sons, Terry Boyd (Sherry) of Buford, GA, Roger Boyd (Becky) of LaGrange, GA and Robin Boyd (Linda) of Waverly Hall, GA.
