Alan Phillips

Alan Phillips, 60, of Columbus, Georgia, passed away on December 30th, 2020, with his loving wife Cheryl by his side.
Alan was born April 18, 1960 to Jimmy and Fran Phillips. He married Cheryl on August 29th, 1981. He served as a Salvation Army officer, along with Cheryl, for 29 years before retiring in 2017. He was an Avid Florida State Seminole, a loving husband, father, uncle, poppy, and brother. Alan dedicated the latter half of his life to serving those in active addiction. Having battled the disease himself, he poured out all of his love to those who fought the same battle.
Alan is survived by his wife, Cheryl Phillips, his three children, Bradley Phillips, Ashley Watson, and Zachary Phillips, and his 5 beautiful grandchildren, Ethan, Noah, Katie, Hailey, and Eleanor. He is also survived by his father, Jimmy Phillips, his mother, Fran Phillips, and his 4 siblings, Karen, Pattie, Chuck and Mary. He is predeceased by his brother, Danny.
Alan’s family held a small memorial service for the family and plans on holding a larger service in the summer.
