Alan Morris Causey age 66, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and brother, left this world on January 9, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and joyful memories.
Alan was born on May 4, 1958, to the late Robert and Veda Causey in Langdale, Alabama. He was also preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Guy and Thelma Sexton of Knoxville, Tennessee.
He lived a life that exemplified the power of hard work and the importance of family. A proud graduate of Columbus High School and the Stenotype Institute of Jacksonville, Florida, dedicated 42 years of his life as a Court Reporter. His work was not just a job, but a testament to his commitment to excellence. He approached his career with the same precision and care that he applied to his personal passions. He found joy in fishing, camping, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a true diehard Auburn fan. Family vacations were a highlight for Alan, especially trips to the beach and the serene Tennessee mountains. It was during these moments that the bonds of family were fortified, and memories that would last a lifetime were created. Alan's love for his family was his guiding force. His wife, Robin Causey, stood by his side as a partner and confidante, sharing in the joys and challenges of life for 42 years. His daughters, Courtney LeBleu (Marshall) and Whitney Land (Will), were the pride of his life, and through them, he saw the continuation of his values and love. His brother, Eric Causey (Tammy), shared not just a family name, but a deep connection that only siblings understand. The light of Alan's life shone brightly in his grandchildren, Hamp Land, Lane LeBleu, Reaves Land, and Cade LeBleu. In each of them, he instilled a sense of wonder and an appreciation for life's simple pleasures. Alan's influence will live on through the many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and cousins who had the privilege of knowing him and learning from his example. At the heart of Alan's life was his unwavering faith. He was a member of The Ridge Church. He loved Jesus with a fervor that was evident in his actions and his approach to life. His faith was not just a private comfort, but a beacon that guided him in his service to others, a source of strength and inspiration that he shared generously. Alan's story is not one of loss, but one of inspiration. It reminds us to cherish every moment, to embrace our loved ones, and to live a life rooted in passion and purpose. As we remember Alan, let us carry forward the lessons he taught through his example: to work diligently, to love wholeheartedly, and to find joy in the beauty that surrounds us. Today, we celebrate Alan Morris Causey, not with sadness, but with gratitude for the time we shared with him.
