Agnes Mary (Einsmann) Connelly

Agnes Mary Einsmann Connelly, 89, of Columbus, GA died Friday, December 31, 2021 at her residence.

A funeral mass will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, January 6, 2022 at St. Anne Catholic Church, with Father Robert Schlageter officiating, according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

Agnes was born January 6, 1932 in Queens, New York to the late Phillip Einsmann and Marie Bleinstein Einsmann.  She was an operator for AT&T for 10 years.   She then married her husband, Daniel, and raised 5 children.

Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel F. Connelly and her five older brothers.

After Daniel’s death in 1995, Agnes started a new life in Columbus, GA living with one of her daughters.  She spent her retirement years volunteering at various office buildings with RSVP, took swimming classes at the YMCA, and line dancing at the Gallops Senior Center.  Agnes also was an active member of St Anne and participated in the rosary, prayer, and altar linen groups. Agnes also had a love for traveling, gardening, her two dogs Buddy and Benji.  Agnes will be greatly missed by the friends she had accumulated over the years.

She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Ebner (Ken) of Centereach, NY, Mary Sears (Edward) of Shirley, NY, Margaret Connelly of Box Springs, GA, sons, Daniel Connelly (Fran) of Mt. Sinai, NY, Gerard Connelly (Joanne) of Nesconset, NY, 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
