Aaron "Mac" "Billy" N. McAllister, of Fortson, Georgia passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
A Celebration of Life will be held 6:00 p.m. Friday, December 28, 2018 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, Columbus. Following the services, the family will receive friends at the funeral home. A private graveside service will be held Saturday in Parkhill Cemetery.
Aaron McAllister was born March 6, 1931 to the late Franklin McAllister and Sallie Mae Ditty in Bascom, Florida. Devoted family man, he is preceded in death by the love of his life, Mary Anne McAllister; sisters, Levora Parmer and Vera Mae Wester. He was a (Ret.) Army SFC and retired optician.
Survived by daughters, Marcia McAllister (Rick Bauer), Phyllis Smith (Aubrey) Lisa Rowe (Charlie); grandchildren, Erin Dorminey "Erin Derin" (Matt), Lisa Courtney Harris "Corky" (Jody), Jessica Foreman "E.T." (Keith Glisson), Whitney Hancock "Nikkipoo" (Jeremy), Morgan Gardner "Morgana" (David Rhodes), Michael Pearce (Jessie), sister, Ilda Marie Segers (Quincy) and 11 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in his memory to Animal Ark Rescue, 7133 Sacerdote Lane, Columbus, GA 31907.
