Ritchie Moore White, Jr., 73, of Columbus, GA, died Friday, April 22, 2016 at Gentiva Hospice.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, April 25, 2016 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Derrick Shields officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 4:00-6:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. White was born May 26, 1942 in Columbus, GA, son of the late Ritchie Moore White, Sr. and Maude Mitchell White. Ritchie was a Boy Scout with Troop 6, & earned his Eagle Scout. While at Columbus College, he was elected student body president. He began working for his father at The White Co. when he was 16. He & brother Larry became co-owners upon their father's retirement. He then owned the company until it closed when he retired. Ritchie lived life wholeheartedly. He was an avid fisherman & loved spending time with loved ones at the beach. He loved playing golf, & was a member of the Hackers at Green Island Country Club. He was a member of Christ Community Church. His great love was his family. Ritchie was a passionate & devoted family man. He was so proud of his wife & each of his children, grandchildren, & great grandchildren, and loved having them gathered all together.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie White of Columbus, GA; children, Debra White Federinko (John) of Mississippi, Patricia White Kelly of Columbus, GA, Barbi White Nobles of Athens, GA, Ritchie White, III (Molly) of Columbus, GA and Casey White (Emily) of Atlanta, GA; brothers, William White (Lynn) of Midland, GA and Larry White (Sharon) of Columbus, GA; sister, Betsy White Amon (Tommy) of Columbus, GA; 14 grandchildren, Alison Dawkins (Clint), Nick Federinko, Jeni Blaze (Travis), Dylan Federinko, Maggie Myers (Nick), Katie Sturgeon (Alex), Parker Nobles, Preston Nobles, Baleigh Nobles, Eli White, Aaron White, Jacob White, Anna-Beth White and Connor White and 10 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Like Respite Ministry, 114 2ns Avenue Columbus, GA 31901.
