Mildred Johnson Minton, 92, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Columbus Hospice House.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, March 20, 2017 at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Rd., Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Jones Doughton officiating, according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Minton was born April 5, 1924 in Jackson, TN, daughter of the late Bethel Bond Johnson and Virginia Anderson Johnson. She was the co-owner of Minton Fabrics and was later a homemaker. She was a member of the Women's Club and the Garden Club. Mrs. Minton loved bingo and loved traveling with her late husband, Jim.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Minton, and three brothers, Bethel Bond Johnson, Frank Milton Johnson and Dan Anderson Johnson.
Survivors include her sister, Virginia Ann Gamper of Stockton, CA, grandchild, Jenny Weekley (Wade) of Columbus, GA , and great grandchildren, Taylor Weekley, Sarah Frances Weekley and John Weekley.
