Ellen Henderson

Ellen Kaye Cushman Henderson, age 61, of Columbus, Georgia went home Wednesday, October 12, 2022 and is now resting in eternal peace with her Lord and Savior.

A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, October 17, 2022 at 2:00 pm at St. Mark United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Andy Ginn. A visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Ellen was born on August 8, 1961 in Tullahoma, Tennessee to Lee Harrelson Cushman, Jr. and Cynthia Louise Higgins Cushman. She moved to Columbus, Georgia with her family as a young girl and attended Columbus High School. She was a proud homemaker with many talents. She enjoyed painting, gardening, reading, scrapbooking, and spending time with her precious grandchildren. She loved the Lord with all of her heart and was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church. Her favorite pastime was to read her bible while admiring her garden.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Howell “Hal” Berry Henderson, her children, Howell “Hal Baby” Berry Henderson (Logan), Samuel “Sam” Burgess Henderson (Melina), Lucy Henderson Davis (Arthur), her siblings, Jeffrey “Jeff” Cushman (Darla), Bernard “Bernie” Cushman, Cindy Hearn, Samuel “Sam” Cushman (JoAnn), her special aunt, Mary Virginia “Ginny” Higgins Lusk, and her grandchildren, Howell “Bud” Berry Henderson, Hannah Michelle Henderson, Madison Faith Allport, Savannah Lynn Henderson, Amelia Grace Davis, and Noah George Davis.
