Betsy Blankenship of Columbus, GA died Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Columbus Hospice House.
A private graveside service will be held 10:30 AMĀ Monday, November 2, 2020 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery with Mr. Drake Mailhot officiating according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. In keeping with the efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19 McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory will require facial coverings and social distancing for those attending the graveside service.
Betsy was born in Kenly, NC to the late Rudolph Narron and Melissa Peacock Spence. She was the co-owner with Helen Rustin of Westaff. Betsy was a member of North Highland Assembly of God and loved to take care of anyone she met and any animals that crossed her path. She worked hard and loved her dogs, Diva and JoJo. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Blankenship, grandson, Brandon Lewis and granddaughter, Molly Williams.
Her giving spirit and love for others live on by her daughter, Lisa Narron (Howard) of New Port Richey, FL, son Scott Blankenship (Annette) of New Port Richey, FL, sister, Bobbie Godwin of Columbus, GA, grandsons, Drake Mailhot (Monica), Brandon Lashley (Tabitha), Josh Lashley (Shanelle), granddaughter, Christiana Blankenship, great-grandchildren, McKenzie and Sawyer Williams, Georgia and Nash Mailhot, Sophia Lashley and Leighana Taylor.
In lieu of flower, contributions may be sent to Paws Humane Society at pawshumane.org.
